I recently contacted John Rogers regarding this matter and would like to share my request with council.
I currently live in Royal View Estates at 300 Six Mile Road. Adjacent to this townhouse complex is a View Royal Park called Janlan Park. Over the years I have noticed this great little park is very underutilized. The park is separated from Royal View Estates by a high chain link fence. This prevents residents from accessing the park. Royal View Estates has a great mixture of young families with children and retired people. The children now play on the roadway.
The strata council would like to put a controlled gate between the townhouse complex and the park. This would provide a safe play area for the children, a place for people to walk their dogs and a nice relaxing place for older residents. At the moment it is very difficult (often impossible) for these groups to access the park.
The strata council would cover all expenses of installing and maintaining the gate. I believe the fence is the property of View Royal and I am seeking permission to install the gate. Can you assist with this endeavour? I have attached pictures of the proposed gate. I am happy to answer any questions.
