Subject: Meeting of the Committe of the Whole November 8th - Polly Place Road end

Dear Mayor and Council,

As a long time View Royal resident, I wish to add my comments to the issue of the Polly Place road end which is on the agenda for the Committee of the Whole, Parks and Recreation 9.1.

I am against any further money being spent by the municipality to development this area. It is not needed and not wanted by any neighbours I speak to and certainly by me and my husband, Bruce Scott. As Coucillor Rogers states, it is redundant as there are several better locations already developed for the public, very close by.

Polly Place is a tiny strip off Kingham Place. I have lived on Kingham Place for 20 years. There is a public park at one end and a water access on the other end already.

This is a dark little area and I have safety concerns that this would invite people not wanting to be seen, hanging around and up to no good. There is simply no need for this road end to be developed.

I think in these inflationary times especially, we need to be very careful with public money, to keep taxes down. In my opinion this would be a great waste of money for the capital project as well as for ongoing maintenance costs.

Sincerely,

Barbara Scott
109 Kingham Place
