RE: Application for Development Variance Permit
Dear Mayor and Council,
This application is in support of my request for a variance to covert one of the 2 car parking space in my garage to a multi-use room.
I need a separate space in my house that can be used as an office/den to work from home. There is no other space available that I can utilize for home office, which is direly needed to remotely work from home. Furthermore, this room can be utilized for my teenage child to conduct studies with his home tutor.
This room does not require any major modifications to be made to my 2 car parking garage. The construction would simply require a partition wall with an interior door and a side window. I do not anticipate any sorts of disturbance/ inconvenience to my neighbors due to this room. My two cars are always parked outside the garage and never created any accessibility issues for the neighbours as my cars are parked well within the driveway limits. The garage is currently being used a storage area and my two children have placed a small table to play table tennis.
