Gazebo Gibralter Bay shoreline

Hello there Mayor and Council
I notice the subject of the gazebo is going to be discussed tomorrow night.
We fully support leaving the gazebo where it is so that everyone can enjoy the amazing view. If there are issues with people damaging the wood pickets and rails, perhaps these could be replaced with metal, similar to the materials in the fence next to the sidewalk leading down to the gazebo. I checked it out yesterday and it appears the only damage is to the vertical "pickets" around the lower fencing.
The shoreline belongs to everyone and many of us have wonderful memories there. View Royal has been very accommodating at making several beach accesses for us all to continue to enjoy, even when development encroaches upon the shoreline for those who can afford millions of dollars for their homes. Hopefully this will continue to be one of the places where we can all continue to enjoy a walk, picnic, wedding, etc.
Regards,
Lynn and Tim Elwell
