Subject: Regarding Christie Point rental property

I live at Christie Point. I have been a tenant through Boardwalk, Realstar, and now Killam ownership. Our build is from the 60’s and not much maintenance or repairs are evident. Recently our managers had to replace the roof on 2 of our buildings this also facilitated a paving job. Yesterday residents were served notice of a RTB hearing between Killam and our residents to up our rents by $150 each as well as the allowed increase to cover the cost of the roof and paving. When Christie Point was to be redeveloped the mayor and council helped secure a much better package and contingency plans for tenants. Can you help us now. Christie Point has a large senior/retired population, disabled population, single parent , and multigenerational population, and this is causing undue stress for all of us.

Thank you for any ideas

Sincerely

Jen Ritchie
