a) J. Turner, Victoria Waterbus Inc., Re: Introduction of Victoria Waterbus
Mr. Turner spoke to Council in regard to the Victoria Waterbus initiative including estimated costs and timeline for implementation.
He is requesting Council's support in proposing the Victoria Waterbus to developers as well as a decrease in taxes.
Council and Mr. Turner discussed size of vessels; time allotment to destinations; and number of docks proposed.
b) Dr. L. Gaines, Re: Colony of Rabbits on the Median at the Helmcken Overpass
E. Gray and Dr. L. Gaines spoke to Council in regard to the rabbits on the median at the Helmcken Overpass, which falls within the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure. They are requesting Council's support for a humane rescue.

THAT the Town write to the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure encouraging the Ministry to work with the rescue group to support the humane rescue of the rabbits on the median at the Helmcken Overpass. CARRIED
c) N. Johnson, President, View Royal Fastball Association, Re: View Royal Fastball Association - Financial Assistance
Mr. Johnson discussed the need for temporary funding to jumpstart the View Royal Fastball program; increased funding to the View Royal Parks Department; and increased sponsorship opportunities.
Council and Mr. Johnson discussed number of leagues in the Capital Region; comparison of Centennial Park's field to others in the region; and sponsorship opportunities.
Council suggested that Mr. Johnson consider applying to the Town for a grant-in-aid and that staff will bring forward a report to a future Committee of the Whole meeting regarding sponsorship signage at the View Royal's Centennial Park.
