1. CALL TO ORDER – The Chair called the meeting to order at 7:03 p.m.

   THAT the minutes of the Community Development Advisory Committee meeting held November 22, 2016 be adopted. CARRIED

6. BUSINESS ARISING FROM PREVIOUS MINUTES

   a) Public Art Policy

   The Committee reviewed the draft policy presented by the Public Art Policy working group. The Committee finalized a draft to send forward to Council.

   MOVED BY: A. Hanes SECONDED: S. Ali

   CDAC-01-17 THAT the Committee recommend to Council that Town staff finalize the draft Public Art Policy and forward it to Council. CARRIED

   b) Canada 150

   The Committee discussed various suggestions including a community walk;, scavenger hunt; and picnic at Craigflower Manor. A. Hanes indicated that she will confer with schools in the municipality to see what, if anything, they are undertaking for Canada 150.

   It was decided that the Committee will hold a separate meeting with Volunteer View Royal to discuss ideas for the Town’s Canada 150 events.
