The Victoria Faith in Action Committee is asking local municipalities to endorse the Earth Charter. “The Earth Charter is an ethical framework for building a just, sustainable, and peaceful global society in the 21st century. It is a vision of hope and a call to action” www.earthcharter.org
Elizabeth May, one of the Earth Charter writers, will speak about the Earth Charter and why we would want to endorse it. Gerban Van Straaten, author of “Earth Charter Cities Manifesto”, will speak about implementing changes after signing the Charter.
