1. Public Road Right-of-Way on Glentana Road THAT the Committee recommend to Council that staff consult with the developer of 105-108 Glentana Road to request that fencing be installed along the east property line of 1500 Glentana Road should the development permit take longer than six months to complete;

AND THAT the developer of 105-108 Glentana Road cover the cost of the fence in order for the unbuilt road right-of-way off Glentana Road to be opened up into Portage Park by the Trails Working Committee. (PREAC-12-17)

2. View Royal Park THAT the Committee recommend to Council that a 1/3 of the $150,000 budget for the installation of playground equipment at View Royal Park be spent;

AND THAT the other 2/3 of the budget for the installation of playground equipment at View Royal Park be temporarily held back until a bike park can be investigated. (PREAC-13-17)

3. Single Use Plastic Bag Ban THAT the Committee recommend to Council that the Parks, Recreation and Environment Advisory Committee agree in principle with the Single Use Plastic Bag Ban but require further clarification on single use, doggy bags and department store heavy duty plastic bags. (PREAC-14-17)

c) Minutes of the Community Development Advisory Committee meeting held October 24, 2017 (Pg. 26 - 31)

1. Single Use Plastic Bag Ban THAT the Committee recommend to Council that the Community Development Advisory Committee supports the ban of single use plastic bags as per the Capital Regional District Single Use Plastic Bag Ban - Draft Model Bylaw with a appropriate notice period being provided to local businesses that would be impacted by the ban. (CDAC-01-17)

2. Block Party Policy THAT the Committee recommend to Council that staff email the Community Development Advisory Committee members examples of other municipal processes for review prior to their next meeting. (CDAC-02-17)

3. Canada Day 2018 Event THAT the Committee recommend to Council that the Community Development Advisory Committee assist Volunteer View Royal and the Highland Games Society in the planning and participation of a 2018 Canada Day Celebration. (CDAC-03-17)
