Re: Greater Victoria Crossing Guard Program

Further to your letter dated September 5, 2019, please be advised that at its Regular Meeting of Council held September 9, 2019, the Corporation of the Township of Esquimalt Council approved the following resolution:

"That Council direct staff to draft a letter of support to the Town of View Royal, towards a coordinated and collaborative approach towards future discussions regarding the Greater Victoria Crossing Guard Program.”

Crossing guard programs are a valuable service to the community which provides safety and support for our youth residents travelling to and from school. The Township supports future collaborative discussions in finding common ground to find resolution with this matter. Should you require further assistance, please contact me at 250-414-7157 or alicia.ferguson@esquimalt.ca.

Yours truly,

Alicia Ferguson Deputy Corporate Officer
