Subject: Invictus proposal

Dear Mayor Screech and Council:

We are not opposed to a development at the corner of Helmcken and Burnside Roads....BUT Doug Foord’s plan is unrealistic! In talking to him at a meeting at Quality Foods a while back, he made it very clear to the residents of Hidden Oaks (15 Helmcken Road) that he is interested in making money and that was it! He wasn’t interested in anything else. He told us so.

We need to stand up to this greedy developer who has no feelings for the community.

Councillor John Rogers seemed more concerned about the applicant’s future costs which would be incurred for a new development application which is why he chose Option 2. Because the developer did not listen to council’s advice on reducing the density and working with Staff, Option 3 should be the only clear result.

Thank you for your continued support. We appreciate the fact that you all respect the residents of View Royal and especially the neighbouring residents of Hidden Oaks.

Sincerely,

Wilma and Dave Tims
3-15 Helmcken Road
