Mayor Screech called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.
The Mayor acknowledged that the meeting is being held on the traditional territory of the Songhees Nation and Esquimalt Nation.

c) Letter dated September 19, 2021 from H. Sharma, Chairman, Strata Council VIS6081, Re: Small Playground for Kids in the Community
Council discussed the recently approved Parks Master Plan, the density of the neighbourhood, past parking requests or other potential interests for the area, close proximity of the Chilco Park playground and soon to be installed pedestrian safety improvements to reach that playground, preservation of the Garry oak ecosystem, budget constraints and deferral of other playground projects, and potential for community fundraising.

As an aside, the Mayor noted he had been asked by some residents at 14 Erskine Lane if it would be possible to use the unopened Game Road allowance for egress during the construction period only of other properties on Erskine Lane.
