Dear Natural Resources Canada Clean Fuels Branch,
On behalf of [insert municipality], I am pleased to provide this Letter of Support to the Capital Regional District (CRD) in support of their application for the Zero-Emission Vehicle Awareness Initiative grant. I have reviewed the project scope and general proposal developed by the Capital Regional District in consultation with municipalities and other regional partners, and agree in principle with the objectives of their proposal for the grant submission. [Insert any information contained in Climate Action Plan that calls for increased public adoption of electric vehicles (EVs), increased charging infrastructure to support the adoption of EVs, or other information related to increasing adoption of EVs, e-bikes].
The multi-faceted engagement program that the CRD has proposed for this grant will complement our existing work to increase the adoption of EVs and e-bikes in our municipality and promote awareness of the expanding regional network of EV chargers that we have contributed to [if applicable].
We are excited to support this grant application because we see many benefits to our community including supporting [insert statement here]. Example: Supporting prospective EV owners in their understanding of EVs. Additionally, the proposed program will build knowledge and capacity in key sectors and highlight the regional network of EV chargers, which will support the public in their transition to EV ownership.
