THAT Council give first, second and third readings to Municipal Ticket Information Bylaw No. 643, 2007, Amendment Bylaw No. 951, 2016.

I concur with the recommendation.
PURPOSE OF REPORT:
To amend Schedule 2 of the Municipal Ticket Information bylaw to reflect the amendments to the Town of View Royal Land Use Bylaw, 1990, No. 35.
BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION:
The attached draft bylaw amendment (“Attachment A”) amends Schedule 2 of the Municipal Ticket Information bylaw to reflect the amendments made to the Land Use Bylaw, 1990, No. 35 by Amendment Bylaw No. 943 (Commercial Real Estate signs).
Bylaw No. 943 was adopted on May 3, 2016 and added provisions to the Land Use Bylaw around how realtors or developers can promote their product. This bylaw allows one 4’ x 8’ commercial real estate sign as a permitted use in rural, residential, commercial and industrial zones per highway frontage to a maximum of two signs per property. The permits must be renewed after one year after issuance and must be associated with the sale or lease of real estate on the property which it is situated.
Added provisions are shown in Attachment “A” highlighted in yellow.
