Amendment to the CD-1 Zone - Comprehensive Development

Council approved moving forward with a zoning bylaw amendment to correct a clerical error in the definition of uses within the CD-1 zone.

"The amendment was purely technical, correcting a typographical error that combined 'light manufacturing' and 'medical clinic' into a single, nonsensical use definition. The correction involves separating them into two distinct, permissible uses. Council agreed the correction was routine and supported waiving the public hearing as it was consistent with the OCP."
Formal MotionPassed
"THAT the Committee recommend to Council that: 1. Zoning Bylaw No. 900, 2014, Amendment Bylaw No. 1117, 2023 be prepared for readings consideration; and 2. waive the Public Hearing in accordance with the Local Government Act, Section 464(2), as the proposed Zoning Bylaw amendment is consistent with the Official Community Plan."
